Had a R300 and done 100's of CD's without no bother, apart from buying some real cheap dodgy cartridges and they just didn't work. Now I just use Datawrite cartridges and they are cheap and reliable.

To print of my covers and print disks i use both an Epson R200 and R300

Never had one problem with the R200 but the R300 has been nothing but bother from only printing half a cover then stopping to blocked heads all the time  mad.gif

Love the results these printers give thoug and the fact i can buy a set of 6 carts for only £4.99 also goes in there favour wink.gif

Just wondered what other people use

I use an Epson R200 and I've had a couple of R300s in the past. If you live in the US, you're going to use an Epson if you want to print on discs. Canon doesn't sell anything here that will. I like the Epson printers OK. They've always worked well for me. Ink is expensive if you use genuine Epson ink. I use aftermarket ink for about 20-25% of the Epson price. Works as good as the Epson stuff. It looks like ink may be a little cheaper in the UK. I just bought 5 sets (30 cartridges) for $83.25 and that's about as cheap as they get here.

With all epson printers they have a print counter. When that reaches a certain number of prints ( i think its around 9000, anybody corrrect me if i am wrong) the printer will stop working. You will need to call out an Epson service engineer who will run a program that will reset the printer. Once he has done this the printer will work again and so the cycle begins.

You can however, download the program that Epson uses (if you know where to look wink.gif) and reset the printer yourself. Obviously Epson dont want you to and your not actually supposed to have access to the program.

The program also has handy things like deep head cleaning etc.

It is the proper program that the Epson service engineers use to fix a multitude of things on your printer. If they cant fix it using this program they often give you either a brand new one or a refurbished one.
