Ladies and Gents,
This explanation is way overdue. I'd like to apologize for my absence and the recent service interruption. With that said, I'd like to thank the few that kept things together and those that stuck with us through this time.

I have had a personal issue that prevented me from being here alot. That has been resolved and I'm here for you.

504 Gateway Error
There has been a malfunction between the servers that keep the site running. Simple version, one server wasn't well but it was being reported as OK. Whenever you got sent to that "sick" server (25% chance), you got a 504 error. A few changes have been made and it appears to have corrected the issue. Time will tell.

Spammers
There is a flaw in the forum software that we're using. That would be upgraded soon and the spammers issue should be at ease.

I'd just like you to know that I'm back and we're working on having things back to full speed.

I hope everything is fine in your personal life and all your loved ones are ok. I knew you would sort the mess out when you came back. Even with all the problems we have had this one still remains the best one. Many people got angry and made alot of noise - I just ignored them. Some people have no patience and just like to bitch.

Just keep at the good work mate & ignore any wisecracks that always come flying when things don't go the way they should.

Glad to hear your personal probs have been resolved.

Hope mine follow that way but at the moment no go and looking forward to when I can be a bit more involved again

Max, hope things are going well for you. I'm assuming you know uncompressed downloads aren't available. Any progress, or projected ETA? Can I help? Used to be Sr software engineer, now just a power user & webmaster. Will do legwork or data entry as needed...

Uncompressed downloads work just fine if you are a Gold member.

Sorry, I am a Gold Member and have been for a long time. I am still getting the message
to "upgrade to gold member" when I click on "download uncompressed cover". Yes, this is
after I am logged in. There is a problem with the system, or something has changed such
that I am not getting past the gateway for Gold Member downloads. Do I need to follow a
different path, or swome tweak to my profile? logon is PoindexterPT. Thx.
BTW, I have uploaded a lot more than 8 covers. Something broken there.

Our records show the subscription expired 22 Dec 2010. Do you have a PayPal receipt dated after that?? If so - PLEASE PM me a 'copy & paste' copy of the receipt. And YES - we are experiencing a PayPal issue.

AS for the covers - maybe that was all that was accepted?? Don't know for sure on that one - Sorry.

I last renewed 4/22/2011, and I'm having the same issue. I get to the "upgrade now" screen when I try to download the uncompressed image.

Also noticed that after logging in, the "My Account" box on the right side shows up strange... the "You have uploaded covers and are a" seems to be missing it's data...

I'm also a Gold Member, and I'm getting that message to upgrade as well. I noticed also that it now says "Upgrade Now" in the My Account window. What's going on?

Thanks for looking into my membership details so quickly. I remember being confused about the "Lifetime" option back when I became a member, and I'm just as confused now. :blink: The wording is a bit misleading: My membership status indicates, "Gold Member (1 year) Ends 2037"? But I have a copy of my PayPal transaction that indicates a lifetime membership, at a cost of $15.00 ???? In any event, I want to be a lifetime member, if I can understand what I need to do for that to happen. :)
