This is intended for whoever receives the payment for gold memberships.
I know the mods are not responsible for any of the issues that are currently being raised, so please don't think I'm having a go at any of you - you're always here to approve/amend/modify covers and I appreciate that beyond belief.
SUGGESTION: Answer people. Appoint someone who is knowledgeable enough to answer people.
I love this website, and the sharing it offers.
I'm here most of the day, every day, and it's frustrating me to see people asking for help, and being ignored. If I could help them sort their issues out, I would gladly do it, but I can't. SOMEONE needs to answer these people. Whether the issues are major or minor, ignorance is not the answer. If your life is too busy to attend to the basic needs of the site, perhaps you should stop taking people's payment for a service you can't deliver. I understand the membership fees probably barely cover the financial needs of keeping it running, and that everything you've put into it undoubtedly far outweighs it, but I can't get past the ignorance.
SPAM - the site is full of it. Spam messages all over - I have reported some to no avail. It's ugly and it is probably very simple to delete. Does someone have that delete button power for spam/porn/rubbish?
UPLOAD APPROVALS - template: < title > < year > < edition > < language > < region > < custom > does this change depending on how someone feels at the time or is it a rule intended to be followed?
Uploads seem to be renamed/amended by one person, and the next person approving makes completely different changes. It makes it very difficult to make sure we're doing the right thing when we're not absolutely sure what that is.
Covers in incorrect categories - I have found a few - totally random and completely out of place (eg a CD soundtrack in the PSP covers, clearly with scans of the discs as well) - how do we let anyone know? If you click on the 'report' button, the site errors.
There's more but I'll shut up and let everyone get defensive for now.
I'm not jumping up and down about payments - I have gotten my value for my membership already well and truly and am happy to use the site as it is. I would just like to see people not being ignored.
