Hi,
It's possible to have an examples of compressed and uncompressed image of cover and disc?
Maybe I will become a premium user :)

Who wants to volunteer one of their Covers to be posted in this forum?  One being High Resolution and one being Standard Resolution.  I know more than one of you would like to show off your work and this is as good as time as any to show off your skills.  I'm hoping to get a volunteer who has an amazing Cover to show off.  Any download counts will be added to your cover.  So who out there has the talent to let me post one?  You will get full credit for your work along with a link to your most recent uploads.

Take your pick from mine but note that they are only scans and uploaded at only 300dpi. Surely there are some awesome customs out there without the moiré effect that scans highlight so would look a lot better.

Possibly the Dark Was The Night (2014) R4 would be OK but there's not much colour shift to better demonstrate the difference between the compression rates.

Here is a true comparison.  You will need to extract them from the WinRar file.

It is the only way they can see the true difference.  I included the cover and the label so that should give anyone a good idea what the difference is.  It's why I originally went to the Gold Membership.  I was forgetting that just uploading them to the forums it was still going to compress them and not give a true visible difference.  So that makes us both idiots...  lol   :bash:

Nice scans by the way.

Thanks. I tried many different ways to link the covers uncompressed but due to the large file size it was causing problems. Think I failed the challenge I set myself. Happy to remove the links to the enlarged samples if they're verboten.

Yes, my point wasn't that such couldn't be provided, as HJ has demonstrated. I was simply pointing out that nobody in this forum is going to provide links or access to full resolution covers to anyone who has no right to them. I was putting together a cropped set of examples myself, but since you guys have done it, I'm bowing out.

I just look at the pictures.

I bought gold membership here after several years of only compressed access, yes. I never saw any comparisons, but I could see the obvious compression artifacts in what I'd been downloading & simply assumed uncompressed images wouldn't have them. When it became worth it to me, I paid.

I just look at the pictures.

Sorry that took so long but when you are dealing with The 3 Stooges things like this happen.  If you do a gold membership keep in mind that if you do a 3 month or anything less than lifetime you create a subscription in PayPal and in 3 months you would be billed again unless you stop the subscription.  That is why most people just get a lifetime and be done with it.  Just trying to let you know so you don't get any surprises.

Yeah, one time lifetime subscription is the simplest & easiest way to go & it's well worth it.
