Outlook Express Backup how to

I want to reinstall Windows Xp soon, as I got a virus and after cleaning the computer doesn't work as smooth as before. I gives some strange erros and sometimes it justs hangs up... I want to backup Outlook Express emails and settings before reinstall, and restore afterwards. Any help?

I could be wrong, but isn't that stored on the internet?
So you can regather information after re-installing???

Nope outlook express is a standalone prog that is just like outlook but with less features and more simple, all data is stored on your pc.

Go here for a guide on how to do it. I had to google it otherwise I would have written instructions myself but I use outlook not outlook express.

Use the "Export" feature and simply save your Adressbook first and then the e-mails in second step on a safe partition of another non/system HDD. Then you can Import that after reinstall later. I am preventing this by having all that on an "Exchange" HDD which is shared between various O/S in one case... cheers.gif

www.oerecovery.com has necessary probabilities for solving out issues related to corrupted or lost dbx files. It restores dbx after power failures, hacker attacks. The tool starts under all available MS Windows OS. It can't modify source oe data during recovering.
