I guess this is how some people run their business. Take the money and run.

I had to create a paypal dispute after nobody answered me. Paypal ruled in my favor. I paid for one year and it was never updated. I want to get a new subscription but I'm not until I know I am going to get what I paid for.

I can assure you - this is not a scam

Max has had a lot of trials & tribulations in his private life, since the end of last year, and hasn't been able to attend to problems on this site.

Everything is now slowly coming back on steam. just be patient

Although it doesn't seem to be a scam, he is responsible for running both a business and a community.

He should hand over his site to someone capable of running it while he is settling his personal affairs. This site is unique and a lot of people would like to make use of it.

Although you have only just joined, this site is not a business and you would not be aware that Max has fixed most of the previous problems.

I must beg to differ. If a site charges fees for privileges, as does this site, then it is indeed a business.

I just look at the pictures.

I would agree if the owner was making an income but I reckon this just about covers site fees etc etc. Also the mods don't get paid! They would get paid if this was a business.

Anyway, I don't believe in being argumentative all the time!

Not argumentative. I just like to see reality peek through now & then. You seem to have a problem with the concept of capitalism. Yes, the mods don't get paid, but Max does. The fees paid by members do indeed support he site, of course, but that doesn't mean it's not a business. Business is not defined by how, or even if, staff are paid. Almost every major business in the USA has unpaid interns. A business is simply an enterprise that engages in commerce. This site provides a service, for which it charges fees. Free access is provided, but only for low grade product. To gain access to the premium content, a member pays a fee. That makes it a business. It's not bad. I wholeheartedly support Capitalism & business. My comment was not to slur this site or any member or owner, but simply pointed out you were incorrect in claiming it's not a business. That was misleading & does no service to anyone. If you're going to place yourself in the position of advisor, then your advice should be accurate, at least. No offense. Most of the time, your advice is helpful. In this instance it was simply incorrect. Words mean things. When we start redefining the words we use to communicate, so they suit our own conceptions, then communication becomes impossible.

I just look at the pictures.
