Hacksaw Ridge

02 March 2017 - 04:52 AM

I don't often comment on movies but I just finished watching Hacksaw Ridge.  I would have to say that even with all the blood and gore shown because it's primes is about WW2, but it was one of the best faith based movies I have seen in quite some time.  If you can handle the graphic nature of war I highly recommend this movie.  It is based on a true story and is quite inspirational and what one man was able to accomplish is simply amazing.  Having been involved in the 1st Gulf War I saw many things that probably will be with me for life but this movie shows that even in the most horrible times there can be good in anyone.  I watched this movie not expecting it to be faith based and showing what man can accomplish with faith and perseverance.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone who can also handle the gruesome nature of war along with a faith based theme.

You Know You Are Having A Bad Week When.....

20 February 2017 - 06:21 AM

OK.  This is a no shitter.  I divorced my ex-wife 23 years ago.  Only have had the misfortune to see here on 3 occasions since because we have a daughter together.  She's a Detroit Michigan girl and I'm a red neck country boy in Idaho where the closest town to me is about 1000 people and 10 miles away.  Well here is the bad week.  She has no relatives here nor has she ever lived here and has only visited here a few times in her entire life.  Well for some unknown reason she decided to move to this little town about 10 miles from me and now works directly across the street from my current wife.  If this isn't a WTF moment I have no clue what is.  She has been here for about 6 months now but I have been lucky enough that I have not run into her.  Can anyone please explain?

What The Hell Is She Thinking?
